Lauren Waters is a multi-skilled QUT Marketing and Entertainment Industries graduate and her areas of specialty include digital marketing, events management and research, which has seen her work with clients such as Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ), Dreamworld and QUT.

Throughout her studies, she has had many amazing opportunities to further her skills in both marketing and the entertainment industries. She was selected to take part in the MIPCOM 2015 study tour where she gained valuable knowledge of the international industry in London, Paris and Cannes, which culminated in the opportunity to intern with Beyond Distribution at the MIPCOM market in Cannes. She secured an internship with AWLQ after pitching a fundraising campaign idea to them, and was able to see her idea come to life. She recently completed a 6 month internship with Dreamworld, which further developed her digital marketing and public relations skills.

After receiving a number of awards for her academic performance, Lauren decided to further her education and will be returning to study a Bachelor of Business (Honours) in 2018, where she will be researching the customer experience journey and how to create customer value in theme parks. She is hoping to uncover some valuable insights to improve this industry within Australia.
