QUT Art Museum

Where: 2 George Street Brisbane QLD 4000 Australia

QUT Art Museum, housed in a specially designed contemporary space in one of QUT’s heritage buildings, has quickly established itself as one of Brisbane’s leading institutions for the visual arts. Located at QUT’s Gardens Point campus next to the City Botanic Gardens, the Museum incorporates the William Robinson Gallery, housed in the historic Old Government House.

Opened in 2000, the gallery conducts a dynamic exhibition program with an emphasis on contemporary Australian art and design, as well as an extensive education and public engagement program. It is also home to the QUT Art Collection, one of Queensland’s most significant public collections with more than 3000 pieces including paintings, sculptures, decorative arts and works on paper, chiefly by Australian and Queensland artists.
